Brian Steffen
Administrator/Principal
Brian graduated from Ivy Tech in 2002 with a degree in Business Management and Marketing. After serving on the school board, he became the administrator/principal in 2014. Brian values building Christian relationships with students, parents, and teachers and is grateful for the blessings the school receives. Since 2003, he has managed The Monument Center and married Jessie Steffen in 2004.

Karen Steffen
Preschool Teacher
Karen graduated from Adams Central High School and homeschooled her four children—Jessica, Bradley, Justin, and Sadie. Her daughter Jessica now serves as the kindergarten teacher at Kingdom Academy. Karen has been married to Duane Steffen for 44 years. She is overflowing with gratitude that she has the opportunity to teach and encourage these young hearts to blossom with God's love. Karen feels so blessed to be part of the Kingdom Academy family and is looking forward to the adventures that the children will bring.

Jessie Steffen
Kindergarten Teacher
Jessie has her CDA (Child Development Associate) from Ivy Tech. Jessie is the wife of Kingdom Academy administrator Brian Steffen and they have four children: Isaac, Luci, Adalee, and Asher. Her goal as an early childhood educator is to create an environment that encourages children to love learning and more importantly to shine their lights for Christ. Jessie feels blessed to work in such a Godly Christian environment and looks forward to whatever God has planned for her at Kingdom Academy.

Grace Moser
3rd/4th Grade Teacher
Grace graduated from Purdue University Fort Wayne in December of 2023 with a degree in Elementary Education. Grace enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling, and being outside. Grace is excited to work in a God-centered environment where she feels supported by staff, students, and families. She is passionate about teaching youth to be the best that they can be and to shine their light to the world wherever they go.

Michael Yoder
5th/6th Grade Teacher
Michael graduated from IPFW in 2017 with a degree in Elementary Education. Michael married Liana (Reinhard) in March 2022. He always looks forward to connecting with his students so God can be glorified, and they can learn more about His Word and love for us. Michael loves to spend time with his students, see them at church, and teach them God’s Word.

Quinn Feichter
Middle/High School Math Teacher
Quinn graduated from IPFW in 2004 with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics. Quinn started teaching at Kingdom Academy in the fall of 2004, and although he has not always taught there, his heart and mind have always been close to this school. In 2005, Quinn married Sarah (Kaehr) and they have two daughters: Avi and Esti. He looks forward to furthering God’s Kingdom as he teaches at Kingdom Academy.

Ryan Bertsch
Middle/High School History and Science Teacher
Ryan graduated from IPFW with a teaching degree in science. He has been with Kingdom Academy since 2005. He is married to Jessica (Yergler), and they have five children: Elly, Tate, Oaklee, Kendall and Everly. Ryan’s favorite part about teaching at Kingdom Academy is the deep relationships he can build with students and the opportunity to teach a Christian world view.

Missy Bussel
Middle/High School Language Arts Teacher
Missy graduated from Pittsburg State University with a degree in history/political science and completed her master’s degree from Indiana University in secondary education. Missy taught at Kingdom Academy from 2008 - 2015 and returned in 2023 after teaching in public school. She is married to Travis Bussel, and they have three children: Kaden, Krew, and Peri. Missy is excited to be back at Kingdom Academy where we can focus on teaching Christian values.

Trudy Eisenmann
Middle/High School Art Teacher
Trudy (Steffen) Eisenmann, grew up at Bluffton High School with German concentration, visiting Germany as a foreign exchange student. She is married to John Eisenmann, and they raised 8 children, home schooling for 27 years. She co-authored with her daughter Alyssa, a play "Gellassenheit -The Life of Samuel Froehlich" directing several plays, teaching art and gym, and German classes. She helps her husband at MR Planners as co-office business manager, marketer, purchasing and sales appliance manager at MR Planners. She also chairs the Mission Support Team for Jonathan and Lisa Ringger. She has felt welcome to the transition to Kingdom Academy and enjoys seeing the kids explore the wonders of God's world through art!

Nicole Drayer
K-12th Music Teacher
Nicole graduated in 2004 from Illinois Central College as a certified Occupational Therapy Assistant and worked as a COTA in Illinois before moving to Indiana in 2010. She is married to Todd Drayer, and they have three children, Miles, Cal and Denver. Music has always been a huge part of her life, starting piano lessons at age 6, singing and even being able to use it in many ways in therapy. It has been a joy to teach something she’s passionate about and hopefully pass along the fun and use it to glorify God! Everyone has some music in them, and it’s fun to watch the discovery happen.

Lucy Steffen
Preschool Teacher’s Aide
Luci is currently a Senior at Kingdom Academy. She student taught in kindergarten and 1st Grade during her Sophomore and Junior year of High School. Luci enjoys spending time with friends and family. She co-teaches the preschool kids in the mornings, and in the afternoon, continues her studies as a Senior. She is currently employed at Christian Care. She also loves spending time at young group functions, and is excited for what God has in her future for teaching Christian values to all of her students.

Kara Leman
1st-4th Teacher’s Aide
Kara has served as an elementary aide at Kingdom Academy for the past eight years. She and her husband, Shawn, have been married for 19 years and are blessed with three teenage sons—Tristan, Archer, and Conrad. Kara’s favorite part in working at KA is coming along students right where they are, encouraging their growth, and helping to shape their character.

Abi Isch
1st/2nd Grade Teacher
Abi joined Kingdom Academy in 2023. Since that time, she has served as an elementary aide, collaborating with teachers, exploring various teaching methods, and growing more confident when leading a classroom. Abi loves the family-oriented atmosphere at Kingdom Academy and enjoys building relationships with the students. Outside of school, Abi loves sunshine, beaches, and generally being with people. She would like to give a big thank you to the families of KA, the staff, and her family for all their kindness and support.

Rachel Isch
Elementary Reading Intervention Teacher
Rachel graduated from Ball State in 2004 with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education, and that same year she married Aaron Isch. Afterwards, she was a special education paraprofessional at Bluffton Middle School for two years. In 2006, with the birth of their first child, she became a stay-at-home mom. They now have 6 children. In 2022, Rachel began doing reading intervention with elementary students at Kingdom Academy. She has been doing so ever since. She cares deeply and loves to see students grow to their potential.
